I've had a serious thought.

It’s a simple thought, but I like it enough to want to register it here. Throughout my writing on Substack, episodic, contingent, one eye on the news, I’ve relished the way in which it walks in step with time – or at least means you can – catching the moment for better or worse, writing words that are read close in time to when you wrote them. So I thought this thought yesterday and want to mark it in case it matters.
